Big Changes for 2026

Big Changes for 2026

Hi, it's Christine!

If you ran over to our website, you have probably noticed a lot of changes already, so I wanted to explain everything in one place.

We are just about into the new year, and all the updates for 2026 really roll up into three things:

More Freedom
More Options
Same Home Cooked Feel

That is the heart of it. Here is what that actually means for you.
Buckle in. It is a lot.

More Freedom ✨

First, the big one.

Our new website is LIVE!!!! 🎉

The old site did its job, but it was not built for how you all actually use us now. The new site is set up so it is easier to:
• See the menu
• Choose your plan
• Add on extras
• Make changes without feeling like you are fighting the page

You will see a cleaner layout, clearer choices and a setup that lets us keep improving instead of patching things in some long loop. If you poke around and something feels different, it is not to make your life harder. It is because we finally rebuilt the whole thing so it works how people have been asking it to work. We are still working out kinks so be kind to us! 😂

A La Carte 👏 is 👏 finally 👏 here

You all have been asking, up to last week while we were closed, and now I can finally say: you can now grab things like:
• Breakfasts
• Overnight Oats
• Wraps, Salads and Snacks
• Bulk Proteins, Carbs, and Veggies

without locking into a full plan, as long as you hit the order minimum of $70 or more!

Some weeks you want full meals. Some weeks you just want extra protein and carbs in the fridge so you are not living on snacks. Now you can use us both ways.

Simpler plans: Standard and Protein+.

This is exciting but I know there will be some pushback. My mission has always been home cooked meals, delivered. Healthier versions of the food I actually love. We are macro friendly, but we are not a strict diet program. And in the kitchen, we REALLY struggled making items that worked within the Shred and Lean category of meal plans.

Most of our meals are moderate carbs and high protein, real food that feels like something you would cook at home. Shred and Lean pulled us into a no carb, diet style lane that never really matched who we are or how we eat.

So, going forward:
Standard is your balanced, everyday lineup
Protein+ (formally Gainz) is your higher protein lane with more carb, still real meals, not dry diet food

You will still see lighter feeling meals and macro friendly options. We are just not pretending to be a zero carb company. Also, Protein+ felt more appropriate since Gainz felt more gym-like than we really are.

There are also a few more things coming soon on the freedom side, like easier ways to get help and more flexibility in how you use us. I will share those once they are ready.

More Options 🍽️

For a long time we were stuck at around 5 to 6 meals a week. The kitchen was maxed. There simply was not enough space or time to run more variety without creating a mess behind the scenes.

With the changes we have made, we can now offer MORE Weekly Menu options!

That means:
• We will STILL have weekly rotated meals
• AND keep customer favorites seasonally rotated
• Best of both worlds

To do this without throwing away quality, we had to tighten one big thing.

THE BIG ONE: New order cutoff time.

• Old cutoff was Wednesday at 11:59 pm
• New cutoff is Wednesday at 8:00 am

A lot of you were last minute Wednesday night order people. You are busy, you forget, you hop on right before bed. I get it.

The largest issue is product ordering with our vendors and admin. We are not a large, factory. We are in that weird middle stage. Too big from that mom and pop feel, but too small from the Amazons of the world.

From the kitchen side, that meant we were locking in huge decisions with almost no time. That leads to stress, mistakes, product scrambling and it makes it very hard to run a bigger, more interesting menu.

Moving the cutoff earlier gives us real time to:
• Handling all the admin that goes into production better
• Happier employees
• Order ingredients correctly
• Plan production without guessing

If you know you are a last minute person, this is your sign to set a reminder for Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. We will keep sending email and text reminders before the cutoff so you are not caught off guard.

This change is about protecting the quality of what you get and making sure we can keep giving you more options without burning out the team that cooks and plates your food.

Same Home Cooked Feel 🥘

With all this, the part that matters most to me has not changed.

Our mission is still:
Home cooked meals, delivered.
Healthier versions of the food we love.

New packaging, same food.

You will see that your meals are no longer in clip on containers. We moved to fresh sealed trays using food industry standard grade MAP sealing. Essentially, nearly all the Oxygen that causes your food to perish faster is removed, and extends the life of your meals! This is a HUGE change behind the scenes that I am so excited to introduce.

What this does for you:
• Helps meals stay fresher in your fridge
• Cuts down on leaks and cracked lid issues
• Protects your food better in delivery

To be clear, what it does not do:
• It does not turn us into a factory
• It does not change the recipes
• It does NOT change the portions

It is the same meals, made in our kitchen, just protected better.

Most companies when they make this change get smaller containers and lower portions. NOT US!

I could not in good conscience charge for less portions like what we all see in grocery stores. So being the difficult person I am, I searched and created our own custom food container that will not compromise food portions.

So with that, the inevitable price increase conversation

Everything is more expensive right now. You feel it at the grocery store and so do we when we order ingredients. Labor costs more. Packaging costs more. Delivery costs more.

We held off on changing pricing as long as we realistically could. At some point you hit a wall where you either raise prices a bit or you start cutting corners on things like ingredients, staff or quality. I am not willing to run this on cheap ingredients or burn out my team just to say nothing changed.

So yes, you will see a price increase.

But I held off long enough to make sure I offered more value. We have worked to keep it reasonable and tied to real things:
• Better packaging
• Better systems
• More variety
• A structure that lets us keep this going long term

You deserve to know the why, not just see a different number on the screen. This is about keeping the quality and the people behind it sustainable in a time where everything around us has gone up too.

I know this is a lot at once.

New website.
New Packaging.
New Cutoff.
Shred and Lean retired.
Standard and Protein+.
A La Carte Meal Plan.
Expanded menu.
And coming soon, a pick up option for those of you close in Rancho Cucamonga.

Some of you are excited. Some of you are frustrated. Both are fair.

What I want you to know is that none of this was random. It is all in service of:
More Freedom
More Options
Same Home Cooked Feel

If you have been with us for a while, thank you.

Give the new setup a real shot. Explore the new site, try the fresh sealed meals, play with A La Carte on the weeks when life is chaos.

We will keep listening, keep adjusting and keep cooking.

Penguin & Hearts,
Christine 🐧💛
